A New Education Stimulus | 1/28/2009
Congress is scheduled to vote for The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act 2009,  the new stimulus package bill, today. The stimulus bill contains a large investment in education. Nearly $100 billion could provide financial relief to school districts facing financial crises and severe budget cutbacks. A copy of the bill and its accompanying reports can be found here.  Aid includes funding for school improvement and innovation, school renovation, special education, and financial assistance for college students.
