Woodrow Wilson Indiana Teaching Fellowship Project
Funding: Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation

The Woodrow Wilson Foundation’s Indiana Teaching Fellowship selects high-achieving individuals in the STEM field to be trained in four state-accredited teacher education programs. Funding is provided by the Lilly Endowment to support teacher education curriculum reforms as well as fellows’ graduate study. At the end of one year training, fellows are expected to earn a master’s degree and will be assigned to high-need secondary schools in Indiana, where they will teach for a minimum of three years with continued mentoring support. We conduct an external evaluation designed to investigate the Teaching Fellowship’s effect on teacher retention as well as student performance.
